Rising To New Heights
A new beginning in 2017 initiated with the hiring of Mitch Ross and the current coaching staff has resulted in Ludlowe Falcons Football rising to new heights. The 25-game losing streak ended dramatically and in 2018 the team won 4 games by a single point, and 2 overtime games to finish with a 7-3 record, the best record in team history since the split of Fairfield High School. The winning streak has continued for the past 7 years with the team never having posted a losing record.
In 2024 the team set records for most wins in a season (8) leading to their first playoff game, along with finishing with the most passing yards in the state and limiting opponents in 7 games to 2 or fewer touchdowns. In 2025, the team looks to continue to build on that success despite graduating starters at every position except two.
During Coach Ross’s tenure, Ludlowe Falcons Football has developed the number one passing team in the state while the roster has grown from 24 players in 2016 to over 100 players in 2024. 16 of those players have gone on to play college football.
